Windows 10 Insider Preview build 18334.1 (19h1_release) is a new build of Windows 10 (version 1903), which is available to members of the Windows Insider program with the priority of receiving Early Access and Skip Ahead updates.
This assembly belongs to the development branch 19H1_RELEASE of the next major update Windows 10 19H1, which is expected in spring (March-April) of 2019 year.
The Microsoft team is approaching the final stage of the 19H1 development cycle, when the main development forces will be used to correct known errors and improve the stability of the new version.
New in Windows 10 build 18334 (version 1903)
Microsoft is testing some improvements to the installation of games in Windows 10, offering insiders to install the game State of Decay for free (limited time only!):
If you have an Xbox Live (Gamertag) player tag, go to the second step. If you do not have a player tag, use your Microsoft account to go to https://account.xbox.com and create an Xbox account. After that you will see your player tag in the upper right corner of the page.
Install the Xbox Advance Assessment Center application on your computer (link opens Microsoft Store).
Sign in to the Xbox Advance Assessment Center using the Xbox Player Tag.
Select in the application the Content section of the preliminary assessment program in the left menu.
Select the game State of Decay: Year One.
If you are not automatically redirected, click the Go to Store button to start the Microsoft Store.
Install the test game State of Decay on your computer from the Microsoft Store.
Launch and try State of Decay.
As part of the launch of the game you will be prompted to install DirectX. This is done for testing purposes, so continue with the installation, the game will start later.
If you find any problems with the installation, or if the game did not start, report an error in the Review Center by selecting the Microsoft Store category (select “Download Applications” or “Install Applications” depending on your problem), and add to the WindowsGamingFeedback header . Before submitting a review, pay attention to the list of known bugs related to testing improvements in games.
As usual, the pre-build at this stage of testing does not receive new features, but includes a long list of known bugs and fixes. A full list of improvements, changes and known bugs is available in the official announcement on the Microsoft website.
Installation via Windows Update
Go to Settings > Update and Security and click Check for Updates. To complete the installation, you will need to restart the computer.
Creating ISO image
If you want to perform a clean installation of Windows 10 Insider Preview build 18334, then using the WZT-UUP service, you can download UUP files directly from the official Microsoft servers and automatically create a bootable ISO image using the following instructions:
Download the generated archive, unpack and run the file creatingISO.cmd.
Since this is a command line script, the Windows Defender SmartScreen filter will show a warning before starting – “Windows has protected your computer.” Click “Read More” and execute “Run anyway“. For security, you can always analyze the contents of the script manually before launching it.
Wait for the automatic downloading of UUP packages from official Microsoft servers and the creation of a bootable ISO image version 18334.
Use the generated ISO to install the latest version of Windows 10 Insider Preview 18334.
