Microsoft has released a new update KB4516421 for Windows 10 (version 1903) to fix the error in the operation of multi-channel microphones USB Audio 2.0

Update KB4516421 available for Windows 10 May 2019 Update (version 1903) and eliminates malfunctioning microphones when using the system application for voice recording, TeamSpeak 3, Discord or other similar applications.

“The update solves the problem that some users cannot use USB Audio 2.0 multi-channel microphones in Voice Recording and similar applications,” Microsoft explains in the release notes.

Interestingly, the update is not available in the Microsoft Update Catalog, but is automatically installed on compatible devices through Windows Update.

KB4516421 also available through Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) for Windows Server 2019.

New cumulative updates expected

Microsoft has added three additional errors to the list of known issues that users may encounter who have installed the latest update KB4515384 (Build 18362.356) for Windows 10, version 1903.

In particular, the company recently confirmed that in Windows 10 version 1903, some users may lose their wireless connection, so Microsoft has blocked the update for affected devices.

This issue affects NEC devices with Intel Centrino 6205/6235 and Broadcom 802.11ac Wi-Fi cards. Loss of Wi-Fi connection occurs after updating these devices to Windows 10 version 1903.

New cumulative updates for Windows 10, non-security, will appear later this month, and this time the developers will focus on solving all the problems that were discovered in recent days.
